Ellen Fulton understands that a leader’s success is directly proportional to their self-awareness. She works with people to improve their intellectual and emotional flexibility while increasing awareness around leadership presence. People who enjoy working with her have a desire to lead robustly and inspire through language, actions, and results. Ellen challenges clients to reflect on their strengths, areas for growth, values, and interpersonal skills to help them align action plans that maximize strategic goals, providing sustainable change. She brings her fervency for strengths-based leadership and well-being to everything.

As a Master Certified executive leadership coach, Ellen has extensive experience working with leaders in government, corporations, small businesses, non-profits, and universities. She has worked with over 1,000 individuals and teams across all levels of leadership to include C-Suite, SES, VP, mid-level managers, and individual contributors.

As a Coaching Fellow at George Mason University’s Center for the Advancement of Well-Being and Managing Partner of the Washington Coaching Group, Ellen Fulton brings her expertise to a variety of outstanding educational opportunities. Serving as Co-Director for the Advanced Coaching Program in Leadership and Well-Being and past Director of the Mason Institute for Leadership Excellence, Ellen is thrilled to be serving as the MCC Director of Training for George Mason’s newest professional certificate in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Well-Being.

Educated as a coach at Georgetown University, Ellen received her Master Coaching Certification through the International Coach Federation (ICF). Her work leads her into a variety of industries, including the federal government, corporations, small businesses, non-profits, and universities. One personally fulfilling project she co-created was a coaching program for the participants of an inner city, non-profit organization that provides skilled job preparation and placement services to ex-offenders, welfare recipients, immigrants, and the homeless. In her free time, Ellen is an avid scuba diver working toward her Master Diver Certification.
